By: Dave Astor Several editorial cartoonists will speak Sept. 10 at the Museum of the City of New York in conjunction with a current MCNY exhibit of political memorabilia.
They include Jimmy Margulies (The Record, Hackensack, N.J./King Features Syndicate), Matt Davies (The Journal News, White Plains, N.Y./Tribune Media Services), and Ted Rall (Universal Press Syndicate).
Also on the evening panel is Don Dewey, author of "The Art of Ill Will: The Story of American Political Cartoons." Moderating is Marty Goldensohn, producer of the "Brian Lehrer Live" show.
The exhibit -- called "Campaigning for President: New York and the American Election" -- features items such as a commemorative coat button from George Washington's inauguration, a James Garfield oil lamp, a "Robert Kennedy for President" paper dress, and an original copy of the famous "Dewey Defeats Truman" newspaper headline.
