Cartoonists Remember the Maine (Book Event)

By: E&P Staff Several cartoonists are scheduled to speak at the June 22-24 Maine Festival of the Book in Portland.

Universal Press Syndicate said they include Wiley Miller ("Non Sequitur"/Universal), Corey Pandolph ("The Elderberries"/Universal), and Lincoln Peirce ("Big Nate"/United Media).

The festival is presented by Maine Reads, a nonprofit organization that supports literacy in the state.

Miller, whose "Non Sequitur" comic appears in more than 700 newspapers, is the author of "The Extraordinary Adventures of Ordinary Basil" children's book published last fall by Blue Sky Press.
