By: Dave Astor An exhibit featuring editorial cartoons about smoking runs through May 4 at the Ann Tower Gallery in Lexington, Ky.
On display are more than 60 drawings, with 10 Pulitzer Prize winners among the contributors.
The show is curated by Dr. Alan Blum, director of the University of Alabama Center for the Study of Tobacco and Society. For the past 35 years, Blum has amassed more than 900 smoking-related cartoons along with newspaper clips, ads, and other material that inspired the artists.
After the exhibit leaves Lexington (where the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists recently met), it will move to the Cartoon Art Museum of San Francisco and other venues.
