By: E&P Staff Caspio Inc., Mountain View, Calif., has announced an enterprise rollout agreement with Gannett Co.
Caspio enables newsrooms to quickly create, without programming, searchable databases and community applications for many users. Digital media companies also can deploy ready-made applications such as the Caspio Voter Guide and Caspio Recipe Guide.
With each of its dailies, Gannett operates a Web site customized for the market served and integrated with the local publishing operation. Including its television stations' sites, Gannett's total online U.S. Internet audience in January 2009 was 27.1 million unique visitors, reaching about 16.1% of the Internet audience, as measured by Nielsen/NetRatings.
