By: E&P Staff Caspio Inc. in Mountain View, Calif., has announced a ready-made application for publishing user-generated recipes on media Web sites. The turnkey Recipe Guide helps general news and special-interest food sites to quickly add interactive recipe content to promote site traffic, visit duration, and repeat visits.
An entertaining, community-based application, the Recipe Guide empowers users to share favorite recipes, rate and comment on recipes and submit photos.
The solution allows non-developers to get the Recipe Guide up and running in minutes with public interfaces that embed directly into an existing Web site. Quick Search and Featured Recipe widgets can be published on affiliate sites to drive traffic back to the media Web site.
Caspio also announced growing adoption of its Voter Guide, a hyper-local application in use among U.S. newspapers, television stations, and online media sites to rapidly publish complete and localized election information on their Web sites, allowing users to view election data, review candidates and ballot issues, and print personalized ballots to take to the polls.
