By: E&P Staff Providence. R.I.-based Creative Circle Advertising Solutions (CCAS) has announced several new products, enhancements, and users of its newspaper Web solutions.
The first of several themed, community-building sites, MommyQ will allow users to create blogs, post stories, photos, videos and calendar items, and will include networking features that allow publishers to route additional content to the site.
The company also is announcing directoryQ, self-service directory software that lets businesses create Web displays including text, photos, video, coupons, PDFs (brochures, menus, etc.), maps, and directions that can be stand-alone Web sites or included on an existing site.
CCAS also upgraded CommunityQ, its community citizen-journalism application, to include video, donation, high school sports and activities, and social networking modules, and has upgraded its classified Web entry software to include video classifieds. It has also enhanced its media site hosting software, adding video and a print ad display module.
CCAS has been hired to revamp The Bangor (Maine) Daily News Web site, where it will deploy its full Web solution suite, including communityQ, mediasiteQ, and adQ: Intelligent classifieds.
In Nashua, N.H., The Telegraph will integrate CCAS adQ Premium classified Web entry with its Miles33 classified front-end system. The Day in New London, Conn., also has chosen adQ Premium for classified Web entry as well as adQ Display to host its online classifieds, which will be integrated with the paper's Miles33 classified front end.
In the south, CCAS will redesign and relaunch the Web sites for Atlanta weeklies publisher Neighbor Newspapers, as well as sister dailies The Marietta Daily Journal and The Cherokee Tribune. The group will deploy communityQ to increase interactivity and user-contributed content.
