'Charlotte Observer' and Inman Syndicate Among Winners of Real Estate Awards

By: E&P Staff The Charlotte (N.C.) Observer and the Inman News syndicate are among the many winners of the National Association of Real Estate Editors' 58th Annual Journalism Awards.

A "Special Judges' Citation for Excellence in Journalism" went to the Observer for its coverage of the local impact of the mortgage crisis.

The awards for Inman -- which has more than 250 newspaper clients and more than 150,000 online clients -- included one for best Web site.

Some of the other winners were The Sun of Baltimore, the San Antonio Express-News, The San Diego Union-Tribune, the Chicago Tribune, The Indianapolis Star, Florida's Palm Beach Post, The Morning Call of Allentown, Pa., the Asbury Park Press of Neptune, N.J., The Boston Globe, The Santa Fe New Mexican, and the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times.
