By: E&P Staff Leslie Kahana and Jean M. Burke have been appointed to new management positions at the Chattanooga (Tenn.) Times Free Press. Kahana, the new advertising director, and Burke, the new marketing director, started work on Monday.
Kahana, who grew up in Tennessee, was most recently senior major accounts manager and national accounts manager for The Honolulu Advertiser, where she led a staff of 10 employees. Her background is in marketing and broadcast media.
While at the Advertiser, she worked with Jason Taylor, who was then senior vice president of sales and marketing. Taylor is now the president and general manager of the Times Free Press.
Burke has been a resident of Chattanooga for 11 years, and most recently worked as senior vice president of sales and marketing for SunTrust Bank. She has worked in the marketing field for more than 15 years.
