Chicago Archdiocese Launches Polish-Language Paper

By: E&P Staff The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago is launching a monthly Polish-language paper that will be distributed in Cook and Lake County churches that conduct masses in Polish.

Katolik will begin distribution in October, Polish Heritage Mass.

The free-distribution tabloid was presented publicly for the first time Tuesday by Cardinal Francis George at the Polish Museum of America, the Chicago Sun-Times reported in an article by staff reporter Rummana Hussain. [STET]

Katolik is a publication of the archdiocese-owned New World Publications, which publishes the weekly Catholic New World and the Spanish-language newspaper Catolico.
