By: E&P Staff The Chicago Tribune will drop four comics and expand the size of 15 other strips next week when it introduces a narrower page width.
In a note to readers, the paper said it "made he difficult decision to cut some comics instead of further sthrinking them. We are doing so because readers have told us repeatedly that the comics were becoming hard to read. We agree."
Being dropped are "Get Fuzzy," "Lio," "Raising Hector," "Scary Gary," "Sylvia" and "Watch Your Head."
The Trib said it is adding two strips: "Dustin," described as a strip about a college graduate who moves back in with his parents, and "Pickles," which has been running Sundays in the paper.
The Tribune said it plans to run two strips 15% bigger and 13 25% bigger.
