'Chicago Tribune' Columnist Takes His Blog Into Print Paper

By: E&P Staff Chicago Tribune columnist and blogger Eric Zorn has done something new this week -- reversing the trend of content migrating online. He has adapted his popular "Change of Subject" blog to the ink-on-paper version of the Tribune.

"For nearly three years now, several thousand of my closest friends and I have been convening daily over at chicagotribune.com/zorn to chew over events great and small," writes Zorn in a column explaining the move. "That Web log -- the first of many that now grace the Tribune?s online home -- generates so much fun content that I've persuaded my print editors to let some of it spill back over into the newspaper."

Zorn says that the Web version of the blog and the paper version will be different, depending on what's in the news and what's he and his readers are talking about. He will also continue his regular twice-weekly column in the paper.
