'Chicago Tribune' Launches Radio Campaign

Posted
By: E&P Staff NEW YORK The Chicago Tribune launched the next phase of its "What's in it for you?" marketing campaign -- a radio blitz aimed at getting people to pick up the paper. The first spots aired on July 5.

The commercials focus on stories that generate higher reader interest like entertainment, sports, and local news, as well as utilitarian articles. A Tribune marketing team attends editorial meetings each day to craft spots that highlight topical news.

The buy includes more than a dozen radio stations.
