'Chicago Tribune' Makes 'Dear Abby' Online-Only

By: E&P Staff "Dear Abby" is no longer in the print edition of the Chicago Tribune, which just did some feature shuffling after converting to a 48-inch newsprint format.

In a Tuesday note to readers mentioning that "Dear Abby" can still be found on ChicagoTribune.com, the paper said it's "focusing on its premier advice franchise, 'Ask Amy,' by Amy Dickinson."

Dickinson is based at the Tribune, and syndicated by Tribune Media Services. "Dear Abby" is distributed by Universal Press Syndicate.

The Tribune's conversion to a 48-inch format also required some changes to its daily comics pages. All comics and puzzles have been kept, though some now appear in different locations.
