By: E&P Staff The Chicago Tribune put up a message board this morning for feedback on the sale of its parent company, Tribune, and the coming offloading of the Chicago Cubs.
Here are the first six quite sharp comments.

I think this may actually help the Chicago Tribune, I believe that newspapers tend to operate better as privately held companies. Hopefully, this will benefit the public too.
Terrific--going private means better long-term decisions regarding newsroom. Selling Cubs makes it better. Good for readers, and all parties.
Good--at least in the fact that the Conflict Of Interest journalism will finally end between the Tribune newspaper's biased coverage toward the Cubs and against the Sox.
I wish someone would explain how the money works. How can Zell pay 13 billion dollars for the company , but only put in $300 million?
Deeply mixed but better Zell than some outsider.
It's a sad day for American journalism -- Andy Martin
