(Crain's) — The Chicago Tribune is preparing to roll out a redesigned version of its newspaper on June 15 that will ask home-delivery customers to pay more for expanded content.

The biggest daily in Chicago didn't say how much the new subscription would cost. It said in a statement that the new look and added content, both in print and on the web, was in response to readers' feedback.

“Evolving our portfolio to keep it relevant and unique has been one of our key strategic priorities,” Tribune Publisher Tony Hunter said in a memo to employees. “On June 15, we'll introduce an expanded and enhanced Chicago Tribune with more content, greater depth, new columns and features.”
