By: E&P Staff Lou Elliot Jones has been named editor of the weekly Chiefland (Fla.) Citizen. Her appointment was announced by Landmark Aug. 18, and is effective immediately.
Jones joined the Citizen as a staff writer in 2008, and was promoted to news editor that fall. Previously, Jones has worked as a bureau chief at the Virginian-Pilot of Norfolk, Va., and has also filled a variety of positions at Gannett Co., including states news editor for USA Today and assistant news editor for the Pensacola News Journal.
