By: E&P Staff Classified Concepts is rolling out map programs dedicated to small-market daily papers.
Prior to the offering, Classified Concepts programs were available to individual papers but tended to favor ones in large markets. Newspapers purchase a separate program for each category of classified listing to be plotted on the print and online maps. For example, if a paper needed a map for open house listings and rental listings, the paper would sign up for two different map offerings.
"As a solution, small market papers can now elect to have all of their real estate listings -- whether its an open house or a rental -- plotted on one map, making it a more cost-effective option," Rachel Samson, small market sales manager at Classified Concepts, said in a statement. "Some may even choose to combine classified listings from non-related categories such as open houses and garage sales."
Classified Concepts is a division of Maps.com and works with more than 100 newspapers.
