In an effort to bolster its national reputation, Chicago's Classified
Ventures Inc. has wrapped its real estate Web sites into a new mega site HomeScape.com. The companies individual sites, including Apartments.com, NewHomeNetwork.com, and MovingCenter.com will continue to operate as
stand-alone sites.

Over the next year, Classified Ventures hopes to get its 134 local market
affiliates to adopt the new HomeScape.com brand, said spokesperson Bob
Orr. Newspapers will continue to have the freedom to set up their real
estate sections as they wish, he added.

The creation of the megasite was done primarily to make it easier for
consumers to find all real estate information in one place, Orr said.
HomeScape.com also includes Classified Ventures' new national resale
site, HomeFinder.com, which indexes over 900,000 new and resale home
listings.

The company hopes the new HomeScape.com will compete with other giant
real estate sites like HomeStore and HomeAdvisor.

HomeScape is divided into five channels: buying, renting, selling,
moving, and financing. The buying channel is comprised of
HomeFinder.com and NewHomeNetwork.com, which offers over 100,000
unique home plans.

The renting channel offers over 2 million apartments through
Apartments.com. The selling channel helps homesellers find real
estate professionals through a partnership with HomeGain.

For the financing channel, Classified Ventures teamed with iOwn.com
for its mortgage service. Visitors can compare rates and apply for
mortgages online.

The moving channel houses Classified Ventures' MovingCenter.com.
