By: E&P Staff Clickability Inc. said Tuesday it had signed a multi-year agreement with Journal Communications to develop, host, and support the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel parent's online enterprises.
Clickability recently launched its On Demand Web Content Management Platform, an end-to-end content management solution which the company said combines implementation, software, support, and innovation as a service to enable non-technical users to create, manage, publish, deliver, measure, and adapt Web sites.
"Our deal with Journal Communications further highlights Clickability's position as the dominant leader in enterprise web content management for media companies," Clickability CEO John Girard said in a statement.
Under the agreement, Clickability will partner with Madison, Wisc.-based Broadcast Interactive Media to link up local newspapers and broadcasters in a single metro market.
"It will be an industry first and has the potential to serve as the model for all local news going forward," Girard said.
In addition to the Journal Sentinel, Journal Communications publishes 52 community newspapers, and owns and operates 35 radio stations and 11 television stations in 12 states.
"Our goal at Journal is to have a common platform for all of our online media publishing, making it easy to share news content and feeds across multiple brands and sites," Carl Gardner, Journal Communication's vice president, digital media, said in a statement. "Clickability's technology is better, faster and easier to use. Their partnership with Broadcast Interactive Media adds broadcast-specific value to the mix, which is very important to us as a cross-media company."
