By: E&P Staff In 16 days, The Emmons County (N.D.) Record will be able to run full color on four pages, and its online edition will feature color photos for the first time, according to the weekly's publishers, Allan and Leah Burke.
In another change, in-county delivery of the Linton-based Record will move to Wednesday morning instead of Thursday, and the online edition will be available on Tuesday rather than Friday.
Allan Burke, past president and board member of Central Dakota Printing Inc., said that company -- co-owned with other publishers -- will close its plant in Wishek at the end of this month (E&P Online, Oct. 28).
Printing will move to BHG Inc., in Garrison, which will plate from page files sent over the Internet Monday nights.
In a story in this week's edition of The Record, the Burkes (who also publish the Prairie Pioneer, in Pollock) called the change "a major improvement" and the "biggest change" since the paper was founded in 1884.
