By: E&P Staff Ohio's Dispatch Printing Co. has chosen the Ad Sales platform from Mediaspectrum Inc., Burlington, Mass., to provide self-service advertising for its Columbus Dispatch and This Week community newspapers.
Part of Mediaspectrum's cloud computing platform, Ad Sales enables media companies to immediately use its technology without no upfront software expense. Dispatch Printing earlier had deployed Mediaspectrum AdWatch for multi-channel ad production across its operations.
"We consider Web-based self-service advertising an important customer offering," Dispatch Printing CIO Joe Gallo said in a statement, adding that the technology will help attract new advertisers while providing existing advertisers "an elegant portal to do business with us 24 hours a day."
With the Ad Sales portal for self-service ad booking, building and management enables users can log in and create multi-channel advertising campaigns for print, Web and rich media. Advertisers can access account information, make edits and build ads online without complex tools. All types of ads may be booked from virtually anywhere, while the newspaper maintains control of the production and distribution of the ads.
