By: E&P Staff Columbus (Ga.) Ledger-Enquirer General Manager Pam Siddall will become president and publisher of the Knight Ridder newspaper, effective Aug. 12. She will succeed John F. Greenman, who is retiring.
Siddall joined Knight Ridder in 1997 as chief financial officer for the paper before becoming CFO and vice president of The Macon (Ga.) Telegraph. She became general manager of the Ledger-Enquirer in December 2003.
Greenman, 54, has been publisher since 1995. He will join the University of Georgia as the Carolyn McKenzie and Don E. Carter Professor for Excellence in Journalism.
