Community Newspapers Inc. Appoints Regional Publisher in North Carolina

By: E&P Staff Rachel Hoskins has been promoted to regional publisher for Community Newspapers Inc. (CNI) in the Franklin County region of North Carolina.

Hoskins is being promoted within CNI, the Athens, Ga.-based newspaper group, from the Camden County, Ga.-based Tribune & Georgian, where she has been publisher since 1999.

Hoskins? new position is effective at the end of March. In her new role, she will oversee the Cashiers, N.C.-based Crossroads Chronicle; the Highlands, N.C.-based paper, The Highlander; the Spruce Pine, N.C.-based Mitchell News-Journal and the Smoky Mountain Times of Bryson City, N.C.
