A Spanish-English bilingual newspaper launched by the former editor of an existing Hispanic-interest newspaper debuted in the Denver area last week.
HOLA Colorado brings new competition to the existing La Voz, according to the Denver Rocky Mountain News. HOLA editor Rachel Carrasco-Mendoza, who tried to buy La Voz in 1997, says she wanted to give Hispanic readers an alternative.
La Voz publisher Ivan Rosenberg offered only good wishes to Carrasco-Mendoza, sending her "all the good luck possible."
