Complex Color Run Snags 'Chicago Tribune' Production Friday

Posted
By: Mark Fitzgerald Home delivery of the Chicago Tribune was delayed by as much as three hours Friday morning because of production problems related to increased use of editorial and advertising color, the paper said.

Through a spokesperson, the Chicago Tribune said the increased use of color required "unique" press configurations.

"In the midst of last night's press run, we experienced several significant mechanical issues resulting in the temporary loss of press capacity that contributed to unusual production delays, and that impacted delivery times this morning," the paper said.
