By: E&P Staff ComScript Publishing Inc. appointed Dennis H. Worden as chief technical officer, focusing on development of online advertising technology offered under the GDT-Nova Pipeline brand.
Head programmer for Global Digital Technologies Inc., Rocklin, Calif., and a contract programmer for ComScript Publishing, Worden was a chief architect of the GDT-Nova AdEZ and Connex product line and employee of Nova Publishing Products Inc.
Worden's primary concerns are expanding the online-only applications and new system integrations. He also will manage print integrations to iPix, AdFare, and AdPay, which use the AdEZ and Connex Pipeline Agents to integrate directly with publishing systems for real-time ad costing and hyphenation and justification.
AdEZPipeline is an application for placing private-party and commercial classified ads (including photos and logos) through a standard Internet browser, with real-time pricing and line-break feedback and instant preview of an ad in print and online formats.
The ComScript Pipeline XML Server enables information packaging and processing for real-time communication with an advertising or editorial production system, including passing information directly to and from the production system database and passing results of that transaction to a Web-based client for display. Pipeline runs on Solaris or Microsoft Windows and interacts with Oracle, MS SQL, Linux, or MySQL databases.
ComScript Portal Agent interfaces directly to a production system via TCP/IP for real-time data processing.
