Conrad Black is headed for prison, where inmates are paid 12 cents an hour for such jobs as washing windows and mopping floors.
The 63-year-old British baron is expected to be sentenced in Chicago on Monday. Federal prosecutors say he could get as much as 24 to 30 years, although a recent court filing suggests he could get a more lenient term.
Black, two other executives and a Chicago lawyer were convicted July 13th of siphoning off $6 million through a sell-off of Hollinger-owned newspapers and related deals.
They were acquitted of 9 charges.
