By: Dave Astor Copley News Service is syndicating a weekly poker column starting this Monday.
"Poker Pro's Corner" -- which targets beginning and intermediate players -- comes from Poker Pro magazine. The monthly magazine's column will be divided into three questions a week for the Copley feature, said Copley Vice President and Editor Glenda Winders.
Each month, the column's author changes to a different professional poker player. The first syndicated piece will be by Chris Ferguson, according to Winders.
Poker columns (along with Sudoku puzzles) are one of the fastest-growing syndication categories. Other poker offerings entering national distribution during the past year or so include Steve Rosenbloom's column from Knight Ridder/Tribune Information Services, United Media's "Hellmuth's Hold'em" by Phil Hellmuth, Card Shark Media's "Playing Poker with Daniel Negreanu," King Feature Syndicate's "On Poker" by Chuck Blount, and the New York Times Syndicate's "James McManus On Poker."
