Corey Friedman, The Wilson Times editor
Corey Friedman has been named editor of the The Wilson (N.C.) Times. Friedman served as the Times’ online editor from the summer of 2012 through May 2014 before accepting a position as editor of the Richmond County Daily Journal in Rockingham, N.C.
His career in journalism began at the Sun Journal in New Bern, N.C., where he was a teen columnist, sports correspondent, intern and part-time reporter. He was hired as a full-time reporter and photographer at the Havelock (N.C.) News in 2006 and transferred to a sister Freedom Communications newspaper, The Gaston Gazette in Gastonia, N.C.
Friedman was named online editor and later city editor at The Star in Shelby, N.C. before taking the online editor post in Wilson.
