By: E&P Staff The Corpus Christi (Texas) Caller-Times has selected the editorial publishing and archiving systems from Saxotech, Tampa, Fla.
The "workflow-centric" content-management and production system will allow users to personalize views of the system. Journalists in the newsroom or out on a late-night assignment will be able to check assignments, track changes, book resources, access source materials, post stories and monitor developments through final layout and production.
"Saxotech will be able to help us streamline our workflow in editorial, archiving and for the Web, and make us far more efficient in the production of our paper," Managing Editor Shane Fitzgerald said in a statement.
The Caller-Times bought Saxotech Editorial along with the Adobe InCopy and InDesign applications, a combination that will provide newsroom-specific functionality, including a more collaborative work environment where everyone can see every page and page element in real-time.
