By: E&P Staff Sun-Times Media Group Inc. (STMG) named Kevin King as vice president of distribution Thursday. He will assume the job June 18.
King, 51, will be responsible for overseeing transportation operations, fleet services, single-copy sales and home delivery for the flagship Chicago Sun-Time, and about 100 other STMG papers in the Chicago area.
"With almost 30 years' experience in media delivery and transportation, Kevin is an important addition to our team," Rick Surkamer, STMG's vice president of operations, said in a statement.
King most recently served as vice president of national delivery operations for Chas. Levy Circulating Company, a periodical wholesaler and subsidiary of Source InterLink.
Earlier in his career, King was operations transportation manager for the Chicago Tribune.
An earlier version of this story incorrectly described Source InterLink as a subsidiary of Chas. Levy. The erroneous information came from a STMG announcement.
