By: E&P Staff Craigslist is postponing the start date to charge for New York City apartment listings for at least two weeks.
First reported in the real estate blog Curbed, Craigslist CEO Jim Buckmaster wrote in a Craigslist
forum that based on feedback, the company is not ready to provide the "level of customer service required for paid postings."
Craigslist announced in the beginning of February it was going to charge $10 for New York apartment listings, effective March 1, in order to control the volume.
The site also charges for job listings in San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles, though it's considering adding another four cities to the list.
