Creators Syndicate Fighting City of Los Angeles for Tax Status

In a Wall Street Journal article, Creators Syndicate President Rick Newcombe writes about the company's fascinating and frustrating struggle to keep its tax status at a "wholesale and retail" classification -- something the company fought for and won 15 years ago in court.

Now Los Angeles is trying to reclassify Creators Syndicate into a higher tax status, despite the court's prior findings -- while retroactively applying the new classification in order to collect interest and penalties. In response, Creators Syndicate filed a lawsuit.
