Crovitz Video: 'Journalism Online' Doesn't Expect to Sell Entire Newspaper Content

Posted
By: E&P Staff Former Wall Street Journal Publisher Gordon Crovitz explains the concept behind Journalism Online in a videotaped interview posted on E&P's business-oriented Fitz & Jen blog.

Crovitz tells interviewer Peter Kafka, a columnist with Dow Jones & Co.'s MarketWatch, that he and co-creators Steve Brill and Leo Hindrey don't expect that all Internet users will go for paid access, nor do they expect to put all newspaper content behind pay walls.

He also explains that the dull name of the venture is simply for publishers only. Consumers will see a different moniker once the service rolls out in the fall.
