June 2 was a big day for Mic, the four-year-old digital news site co-founded by prep school classmates Chris Altchek and Jake Horowitz.

Mic, in a New York Times story, announced the appointment of Madhulika Sikka as executive editor, its top editorial position. Capital, in a follow-up story, reported that Horowitz, the site's editor in chief, will transition "to projects beyond editorial."
