'Daily Press' Starts Quick-Read Weekly

By: E&P Staff The Daily Press in Hampton Roads, Va., launched the new quick read weekly FYI. The tabloid is available for free every Wednesday throughout more than 80 locations in the area. The Daily Press is distributing 15,000 copies each week.

FYI's main feature is "Your News in 10 Minutes" a two-page spread of popular stories with local impact. Other content includes "The Last Word," which includes comments from dailypress.com and "Crime Watch."

FYI is also aimed at smaller advertisers -- salons and spas, atuo services and restaurants. An entry ad starts at $55 per issue, the Daily Press said. Help-wanted classified listings go for $2 per line.
