'Dallas Morning News' Ad Manager Amos Dies at 62

By: E&P Staff Dial Amos, advertising manager at The Dallas Morning News, died March 10. He was 62.

Published of the Arlington Daily News from 1969 to 1971, Amos also worked for the Denton Record-Chronicle, Dallas Times-Herald, and Arlington Citizen Journal before joining the Morning News 30 years ago. He retired in 2001 for reasons of health.

The recipient of a kidney transplant, Amos earlier had been told by doctors that he would not live past age 40, according to his obituary in the Morning News.
