By: E&P Staff The Dallas Morning News added new responsibilities to two executives as it continued a management reorganization Wednesday.

Cyndy Carr, senior vice president of niche products, was named senior vice president of sales, overseeing all sales operations for the Morning News and its sibling digital and niche print products. Carr is a former McKinsey & Co. consultant who joined the paper in 2004.

"The appointment of Carr to this new position signals The News ' increased focus on delivering topline revenue through an integrated sales and marketing organization that better serves its advertising customers," the newspaper said in a statement.

Fran Wills was named senior vice president of interactive and marketing. Wills will continue to be responsible for Internet strategy and sales, and will be adding responsibility for business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing. Wills joined the Morning News in 2006 from the Denver Newspaper Agency.

She will also oversee a "restructuring" of the marketing department, the paper said.

As part of the restructuring, Senior Vice President of Marketing Laura Gordon is leaving the Morning News effective July 1. Executive Vice President Evelyn Miller and Vice President of Human Resources Darryl Thornton departed earlier this week as part of the restructuring.

A former executive with the Denver Newspaper Agency, Wills joined The News in 2006.

As part of the same restructuring, executive vice president Evelyn Miller and vice president of human resources Darryl Thornton left the company at the beginning of this month.

This spring, Morning News parent A.H. Belo eliminated 500 jobs at its papers.
