By: E&P Staff The New York Times has announced that Damon Darlin has been appointed technology editor for the Business Day section of the paper, according to a staff memo first posted on the Romenesko media news site.
Darlin will oversee the work of 10 reporters who cover tech businesses for the paper. He has been with the Times for two years, working on the Your Money feature in the Saturday paper, and has contributed to coverage of the some of the newspaper's major tech stories in the past year. He also has started the Times' residential real estate blog The Walk Through.
Before starting at the Times, Darlin was a senior editor at Business 2.0, the managing editor of U.S. News & World Report, and had positions at Forbes magazine and the Wall Street Journal.
