Dan Flannery has been named executive editor of The Post-Crescent in Appleton, Wis. Flannery, 50, has been The Post-Crescent's managing editor since 2002. He succeeds Andrew Oppmann, who recently was appointed vice president/audience management at The Tennessean in Nashville and president and publisher of the Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Daily News Journal.
