Darrell Lewis, Effingham Daily News publisher

Darrell K. Lewis has been appointed publisher and advertising director of the Effingham (Ill.) Daily News. Lewis will also oversee the Shelbyville (Ill.) Daily Union, a sister publication.

Lewis comes to Effingham from the Gannett Company, where he was regional director of client relations and business-to-business marketing for the Greenville (S.C.) News, and the Asheville (N.C.) Citizen-Times.

He previously served as the director of marketing for the Gannett-owned News-Leader in Springfield, Mo., vice president of sales and marketing for Standard Publishing in Cincinnati, Ohio, and senior marketing director for the Kroger Company.
