The Marshall Project, the Pulitzer-winning nonprofit media organization covering criminal justice, has just announced the hiring of Dave Mann as a senior editor.

Mann joins The Marshall Project from APM Reports in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he served as a senior editor and led teams of reporters on investigative projects, digital storytelling and audio reporting for American Public Media’s investigative reporting unit. He will join The Marshall Project on April 10.

Mann will work closely with fellow senior editors Manuel Torres and Leslie Eaton to help The Marshall Project produce more of its signature investigations into police, courts and prisons. Mann will also help the newsroom expand its capacity to take on freelance projects.
