The Denver Newspaper Agency (DNA) has named David Licko, an executive with over 30 years experience in the newspaper industry, Senior Vice President/Finance and CFOof the company.
""David Licko is a seasoned newspaper veteran with a tremendous wealth of experience in media financial management,"" said Harry M. Whipple, President and CEO of the DNA in a statement ""His leadership will be a great addition to our team and will be instrumental helping the agency achieve its full financial potential in one of America's most vibrant local media markets.""
Licko worked previously as Senior Vice President/Finance and Group Controller for Indianapolis Newspapers. He oversaw five Indiana newspapers and 16 other newspaper properties across 11 states. He started at the company in August 2000, when Gannett purchased the Indianapolis Star.
The Denver Newspaper Agency publishes The Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News under a Joint Operating Agreement. The DNA is owned jointly by MediaNews Group, Inc. and The E. W. Scripps Company.
