Deadline Extended for Knight News Challenge

By: E&P Staff The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation is extending the application deadline for the Knight News Challenge to Oct. 15.

Do you have an idea for using digital tools to transform community news? Does it include the innovative use of social media, mash-ups or wikis? How about new ways to exchange information via hand-held devices like cell phones? The Knight News Challenge awards as much as $5 million to innovative ideas for distributing news in the digital age.
