Dean Durbin Named CEO of Vertis

By: E&P Staff Dean Durbin has been named president and CEO of Vertis, a company providing consulting on marketing strategy. Durbin was previously CFO from 2000 until 2005. He assumed the title of president in 2004 and in February he was named COO.

Durbin replaces Don Roland, who will remain on the board of directors as non-executive chairman.

"Dean has made remarkable progress in restructuring Vertis and moving the company toward greater marketing and advertising innovations," Roland said in a statement. Roland will advise and assist Durbin and the management team on assignments.

"Every phrase of a company's development is critical and we are confident that Dean has the skills and the vision to lead Vertis in the right direction," Anthony J. DiNovi, board member and co-president of Thomas H. Lee Partners, said in a statement. "We want to thank Don for his service and look forward to his continued counsel on the board."
