By: E&P Staff The Denver Newspaper Agency, which jointly operates The Denver Post, owned by MediaNews Group and E. E. Scripps' Rocky Mountain News, sold its Fox Street printing plant and 44-acre site at the junction of Interstates 25 and 70 for $17.1 million to local developer Ascendant Capital Partners LLC.
The plant,, which began printing the Post 22 years ago, was shuttered in September when the upgraded plant on Washington Street took over printing. That plant, dating from 1992 and recently equipped with MAN Roland Geoman presses, prints among other publications, nearby Boulder's Daily Camera, published by Prairie Mountain Publishing, a management and operating partnership created by Scripps and MediaNews.
