By: Jim Rosenberg Newspaper Facilities Consultant To Be Known As McClier designAlliance
Newspaper operations and facilities consultant designAlliance,
headquartered in Boulder, Colo., is concluding what it terms a
merger with Chicago-based McClier, an Aecom company that provides
architectural, engineering, and construction services,
individually or in a complete design-build program, to various
industries.
To be known as McClier designAlliance, according to
designAlliance President Ken Harding, the combination brings
together competitors with complementary capabilities.
DesignAlliance has offered facilities and interior design,
process analysis, strategic planning, and organizational
development since 1987. McClier will retain the Newspaper Group
it established in 1988. The businesses also offer site selection,
equipment installation, and expertise in energy and finance.
McClier also staffs locations in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New
York and Atlanta, while designAlliance also has a Phoenix office.
Harding said "all designAlliance people . . . will stay in their
locations."
