Posted
By: E&P Staff An exhibit called "The Art of Dick Tracy: 75 Years of Crooks, Dames and Fedoras" will open June 22 at the Chester Gould-Dick Tracy Museum in Woodstock, Ill.

The show takes a decade-by-decade look at the famous crime-fighting comic, which Chester Gould created in 1931 and Dick Locher now does for Tribune Media Services. Part of the display is more than 100 examples of original artwork.

Gould (1900-1985) lived and worked in Woodstock for many years.

The exhibit was mentioned today in R.C. Harvey's "Rants & Raves" online cartooning magazine (http://www.rcharvey.com/rantsraves.html#205).
