Did Friendly Fire Kill 2 U.S. Troops -- And Then We Covered It Up?

Posted
By: E&P Staff One of the respected Iraq war reporters has long been Mark Benjamin, first with UPI and now with Salon, for his many articles probing the ill-treatment of our soldiers and veterans, among other subjects. Today he has a major piece, with shocking video, at Salon.com.

Here is the key graf, which describes how the mother of deceased U.S. soldier "did not know that there was a video of his death until I contacted her recently. Salon has obtained evidence ? including a graphic, 52-and-a-half minute video ? suggesting that friendly fire from an American tank killed two U.S. soldiers in Ramadi, Iraq, in late 2006, and that the Army ignored the video and other persuasive data in order to rule that the deaths were due to enemy action. Feggins watched the video with me in her den."

To watch about 12 minutes of that video, go our new blog at www.eandppub.com.
