By: Dave Astor Cartoonist Scott Adams received more than 3,000 suggestions after he asked fans to help him design "Dilbert's Ultimate House" (DUH).
"Dilbert is single and needs all the help he can get," said Adams. "We wanted him to have a house so impressive that some woman would overlook his personality just to live in it."
Ideas from fans were taken to engineers and architects at Heartwood Studios of the San Francisco Bay Area and Boston. The result was a virtual, Web-based home that includes a room solely for cat litter, a urinal in the master bathroom, two dishwashers, a vacuum robot, a Christmas-tree storage closet, a basketball court in the basement, a tower shaped like Dilbert's head, and more. Adams and Heartwood Creative Director Raj Raheja hope some of the ideas end up in real houses in the near future.
Viewers will be able to take virtual tours of the energy-efficent, eco-friendly house starting Sept. 28 at

United Media syndicates Adams' "Dilbert" comic to more than 2,000 newspapers.
